This is going to be a nice build, I was going to suggest buy a new hell-kitty, remove the motor, put the 6.1 you built back in, and trade it off. Most dealers would not even lift the hood.

Insurance auction is the cheapest, I have a guy that will buy a running one, just tell him what you need for around $1000 and deliver to my house. They are dirt cheap now that Chrysler puts them in everything.

If it makes you feel any better, my dealer just replaced the lifters in my 2012 5.7 at 16,000 miles, it had been doing it since 3,000 miles.

For a comparison. FYI my 2012 5.7 6-speed challenger got 23 mpg on the first tank. I am around 17 mpg average after 5,000 miles. Not running the car hard, just a fun ride.
