My carbed 5.9 magnum has been getting 16mpg. Bone stock with a Edelbrock air gap, Holley mechanical 750, 10 initial 30 total, 87 swill, 727 3.23’s 28” tire.

I’m hoping it was just the intake gasket that didn’t seal (it was a jegs set they sent me for free because of the speedmaster intake debacle) I have a felpro MS95392 set that hopefully seals it up. lots of coolant in the oil pan!

Over tightened the intake bolts (bush league mistake) loosened them up in reverse order one at a time and torqued them to the correct 144”lbs. It kept taking coolant :drama: Hoping the intake gasket didn’t seal but after doing some reading I could have really messed some things up...

Bypass hose angle isn’t ideal :poke: Paid $20 to get one of the ports opened up for my temp gauge. Also picked up a new water neck/thermostat because I guess they’re different also and the one that came with it was rusted pretty bad.

Yep it’s old but works great. I’m not one to replace anything that isn’t broken, especially with all the junk parts being produced nowadays.
