I can't comment about the X pipe, as I've never had one. Been using the H pipe since my firts V-8, back in 1981. I like it, but to each his/her own.

Thanks foe the replies guys. I hadn't even thought about being able to get to the header bolts! Good thinking! Just thought that maybe the W2 had some performance advantage over the standard LA type header.

I have Indy/RHS heads on a 73 340, with the W2/standard LA, exhaust bolt patterns. Planning on buying TTI headers, and was wondering if there was an advantage to running the W2 headers, vs. standard LA headers. The cost is the same, tube diameters are also the same. Any and all thoughts welcome...

Or put in another set of header gaskets. Always have run 2 sets on my cars with headers, never had a problem.
