The cluster design is the same for the 74-76 but the circuit board may change, I'm not sure.

They both have the same number of light slots and the same place for the resistor only difference I can see is the way they use the bulk connection with the boards paths.

So I have 2 circuit boards still and I noticed that one of the boards has 11 at the bulk connecter where the other has 8, would that make a difference if I use the one with 8 instead? It's in better shape for sure!

I'll probably just start soldering away hahaha thanks man.

If I have any splits what so ever on the PC board itself, does that mean it may very well be the problem? And would it be as easy as tracing the circuit to the hole it goes to?

How do I test it out of the cluster? On the battery directly?

I got it to work for about a year with a cluster out of a 74-75. Then I swapped back and the temp isn't working. I will maybe switch back but is it possible that the circuit board could blow a "line"?

So I swapped circuit boards already as well as gauges in my cluster, then I got a kit to make the gauges white and all of them work fine but my temp gauge wont register. I tried replacing my temp sending unit since the gauge has never been really responsive, but no luck. Is there a way to test...

Is it true that a standard h4 halogen will work just fine in our sealed bulb harnesses with no modifications or additional wiring since they're also 3 prong?

I bought a vr from autozone and it works but the break in the circuit board is making it work poorly. Gonna try the modern vr direction that poison dart showed me.

soldered it got the connection and put the new volt regulator in but its WAAAY weak. so weak that they barely move. they do move BUT barely.

Is that a normal size lead?

ugh just found out when i went to put the volt regulator in that there is a break in the printed circuit board near the volt regulator. should i solder it or just get a new cluster or printed board.

turns out the in dash regulator around here is 37 at auto zone and 54 at napa. it took them a while to find it cause they kept pulling up the one under the hood.

just found out im missing my voltage or electro-mechanical regulator. this might be the reason im not getting any fire in my wires.

know where i can get the parts for this??

any luck with this? im thinkin about tracing my wire to see if its ok then takin the dash apart. only problem is i drive this car regularly so its hard to do anything TOO time comsuming.

I have a Multi volt and ohm reader thing from craftsman but don't know how to use it, would it help?
