Yea Put in the oil, spin it over a few times, then put the plugs back in . Then every month or two spin it over again. Just keep it moving so the oil can move around.

Was the bent part on the top or bottom? was the push rod still in the rocker?

Well I have a 318 now with one rusty cylinder so it needs to be bored anyway . Just thought it would be a cheap way to get a 340 depending on the sonic testing. It's going in a 71 swinger 727 8 1/4 suregrip no gears yet. I just want to burn rubber Jim

I think my block is a 78 I think a 84 or 86 can be bored with no prob just can't remember

Hi all you's numbers guy's I have a 318 # 400675-318 4. It has flat top pistons and a nylon timing gear. Don't know what year it is. Was wondering if this was a block that could take a 4.040 overbore No way I could be that lucky. Thanks Jim
