was it running b-4 ? Have you done anything to change a good runner to bad? I'd spray the carb base and manifolds to look for a leak first.

not sure of the question but after doing the jet change...ran the car about 23 miles at highway speeds,some stop and go, and not jumping on it.( never went over 4000 rpm)....came home and pulled plugs and saw what was stated in the post

340 motor with mild cam/msd ignition. Demon carb ran like crap so I bought a 750 proform...double pump. Running lean as plugs are gray to white. Original jets were 74/80(primary,secondary) Changed to 78 and 84...#1 and 2 plugs are gray...and 7 looks just about right as brown,bordering on black...

I have a 340 demon with an unknown cfm demon carb and it needs replacement. It also has iron J heads and an unknown mild cam. Local mopar guru claims a stock 340 runs best with a 650 cfm carb. I'm experimenting with a 750 proform...double pump with mechanical secondaries. I bought it new on...
