In one of your photos of the lens backside it looked like there was a part number cast into the red plastic under the chrome trim. Given what you said about the lens being thicker on one side than the other my theory that they may be the same for left and right is less probable.

The presence of the reverse light indicates it's the outer lens. L or R is often cast into lenses but I am not familiar with these specifically.

sorry for any confusion. there are two bezels for sale, each listed in its own auction. Some one stated that there were differences in 1963's. I wasn't aware of this so both should be considered for '64 & '65 only. If someone had a '63 I'd love to see a pic so that I can correctly identify them...

The thing I learned about these cars from other members on here is that the "candy canes" are very hard to find in good used condition. They are apparently being remade by Laysons. However the clips that hold them on a even harder to find than the trim pieces themselves and are not reproduced...

Can you post a picture of the 14" caps your trying to sell. These are the very common 13" type in the photo you posted.
