    The end is near...

Well, the way I see it is that I knew freedom .Anyone born after the 70's doesn't understand what we lost because they never really had it. All they have now is an illusion of an abstract version of something called freedom. You know, when I was in college in 1969 I could go to the airport in Los...

I'm 73 and deal with this in my mind every day.Yeah it takes me 5 times longer to do **** today than it did 10 years ago but I refuse to give up.I've decided that in the end we all lose what we have so why worry about it .I already accepted that most of my tools and cars and motorcycles will end...

I'm Heartbroken. Time to face reality that my Cuda is a parts car.

My wagon has been down since the reverse lever broke on the shifter back in Jan 2021.Every time I tried to work on it was a fight but I prevailed. I'd go under the damn car and get vertigo ! Got past that crap finally and I changed out the 4 speed and used a spare I had thinking that perhaps the...

Sad to see this in the junkyard

One could probably get a pretty good business going getting these cars for cheap privately before they hit the scrap yard and sending them out of state . On a car like this the seller could get more than scrap value and the middle man could make a good profit on the resale even with the shipping...

Battery relocation- Does anyone know of an actual hydrogen sulfide explosion incident?

Yes,I had one when jump starting my 1950 Ford F1 pick up back in the 1970's.The battery exploded. I was a kid and didn't know any better,I caused a spark disconnecting the cables ang BOOM !.The hood shielded me from the acid .I was a very lucky kid that day.

Getting fumes in the cab real bad

Are you getting "engine fumes" or Gasoline fumes? The original post says engine so fooling with the gas tank venting isn't going do much to help this if it's engine fumes

Getting fumes in the cab real bad

The first thing I would look into is excessive blow by filling the engine compartment with crankcase fumes.I had this happen with a plugged up PCV system om my Valiant wagon. If your exhaust is tight there is no other cause for fumes other than this

A good example of buying a 70 Duster done rather than building one

Seeing the brake metering block up on the top of the fender well and the black firewall tells me the car was put together by someone who didn't pay attention to the details. There are probably all sorts of things .I'd be careful with this one
