    Anyone running these Headers

    The center dump on the driver side dumps right into everything. I pulled some off of a ‘68 barracuda, and the Down pipe basically killed any gains gotten from the header. And that was a floor shift automatic car. the headers ended up getting coated and installed on my D100!

    Curious to if you ever tried to use the D454s. Why I'm asking is, I'm soon going to change my '64 dart over to a straight axle, and will be getting rid of the torsion bars. I'm curious as to if they will clear the stock Kmember and steering box with the Tbars removed.

    Early A body 5.9 Exhaust Manifolds ?

    I run 340 manifolds on my'64 Dart. It has a 360/A833 setup. The 340 manifolds fit, but it absolutely sucks on the driver's side! To get the pipe to clear the torsion bars and clutch linkage was a nightmare!

    340 hp exhaust manifolds

    That's normal for 340 manifolds. My current set of 340hp manifolds measures just shy of 2 3/8".

    Installed Custom X Pipe Exhaust and Now Engine Overheats

    Years ago, I had an '84 Omni GLH that I converted to a GLH-T. When I put the engine, the only exhaust I had was the open 2.5" down pipe. I had an entire mandrel bent stainless 2.5" exhaust kit for it, but my muffler guy was about an hour and a half away. As soon as I got on the road it started...

    72' 340 Drivers side HP manifold vs older HP manifold

    Performance of the early 340 divers side vs the later 340 drivers side is gonna be identical. As far as looks are concerned, the early ones look a bit cleaner. And yes headers make more power at the cost of noise, ease of maintenance etc., depending on make and model of course.

    slant glasspack vs turbo?

    When I bought my Dart, it had short Thrush Glasspack on it and was way too loud! Now I've got a Thrush Welded (chambered) muffler behind my slant. It's still a little too noisy for me, but not as bad as before! I'm probably gonna switch to a Thrush Turbo.
