1963 valiant front runner sizing suggestions needed

Ahahahahahahahah! 275 under a stock early A?! I wish. 255s are an aggressive fit imho. If you manage to make it fit please let us know how you made it fit. I'm currently running 245/50R17s on a 17x8 with 4.5" bs on my '64 dart. I am planning on going to 15x8s shortly and am hoping to squeeze...

How much would you pay for a modern tech 15" 60 series performance streetable tire?

Thanks for the compliment. It really is a piece of junk with some decent parts scattered through it. Currently on the 17s I'm running Continental Extreme Contacts. Nothing crazy, just a good summer tire. That's all I need, I just want it in a 15" tire. Small 15s are still out there, but...

How much would you pay for a modern tech 15" 60 series performance streetable tire?

225/50R15s on 15x8s 4.5"BS on all 4corners. No rubbing anywhere. Tire was to short in the back. Currently back on 17s with 17x7s 4.2"BS with 225/45s in the front and 17x8s with 4.5"BS and 245/45s in the back. Fronts rub the fenders at lock, rears are tight but don't rub. I ultimately wanna go...

    15 x 8 cop wheels?

Just as an FYI, the aftermarket 15x8 cop car wheels are made to use a 9" hub cap, however, they won't just pop on with out a little massaging on the wheel.

    drop spindles

All good points! The key here is to come up with a plan on what your goals are for the car. If you want low and soft, low and super firm, is killer handling your goal or are you just going for looks, what brakes you want, what width/height wheel and tire you wanna run, etc.! My car is purely a...

    drop spindles

I'm running 2" drop spindles with a disk brake conversion on the front of my '64. The wheels up front are currently 17x7s with 4.2" of back spacing, however I previously had 15x7 cop car wheels which have 4.5" of back spacing, I believe. They cleared fine!

So you think you can stance?

The rears were dangerously to close to the fender and wouldn't have worked with the back spacing they have. With a 5"-5.5" backspace I think they'd work great. Unfortunately, these Cragars only come in one backspacing per width. And as far as everybody else's comments, I really appreciate all...

I've got less than .5" to the quarter panel and well over an inch to the leaf spring.

So you think you can stance?

I've got a ton of clearance between the tie rod and rim! It's not even close to being an issue. As far as wider rim in the rear goes, yes I could fit a 17x9 in the back if the wheel was about a 5.5" backspace. Currently I'm much closer to the inside of the quarter panel than to the leaf spring.

So you think you can stance?

Believe it or not, it's harder to drive the car without brakes than it is one without rust. My cars sole intent is to be driven! I intend on fixing the rust, but being driveable is prority number one. The tires I've got $50 in all 4! It helps to have a good friend that owns a tire shop. And the...

So you think you can stance?

Alright, here goes. The suspension setup is stupid simple! It was actually about this low before I started working on it, but that was because everything was so wore out and the car was sitting on its bump stops. My goal was to keep it that low, while maintaining some suspension travel, for as...
