How Not To Fill Grease Gun

I've owned plenty of Dakota's, I don't remember any zerks unless I replaced parts that included them. The only one that i think might have had them on there with the original parts were the ones on my 96 4wd

How Not To Fill Grease Gun

When I change the tube it's an exercise in futility getting the air out. I have a pneumatic one on wheels with a 5 gallon bucket of grease in it, when my hand held goes empty I fill it thru the zerk off of the air powered one, never have to fight getting the air out of it that way. I have been...

    millarmatic 250 with spoolgun .

I see some listed for my 185 machines listed as "replacement" that seem quite cheap. Dont know what brand or where they were made, I'm not looking at them as I'm on here.

    millarmatic 250 with spoolgun .

Yeah that would make your machine about 10 years newer than mine

    millarmatic 250 with spoolgun .

Your 250 is probably newer than when I was looking for a welder when I bought my 185

    millarmatic 250 with spoolgun .

I have a millermatic 185. '97/98 year. Bought it new. Was looking at the MM250 but there was no mention and the guy at the welding supply store had no idea if it was capable of running a spool gun. I bought the 185 because i knew it was actually plenty for me, and the fact that it was...

    aircat?

How much do you use them? I run mine constantly 40 hours each week. It's my job, it's how I live. I've had a couple of their tools over the years, they'd probably be alright for how much I use them at home but not sure about all day every day at work.

Black and Decker Valve Resurfacer Repair

I have a set like that under the bench as well. Came with that valve grinder that I had to scrap... I do hope to get another valve grinder one day. The last time I needed one I loaded up the heads and took it to a buddy's house whose not in any kind of shape to work on cars anymore, and used...

    aircat?

Part of the difference for me vs others (and even for me, work vs home) is that Im a fleet mechanic and I'm expected to keep track of my work to "prove" that I get "100% production" similar to a dealership service department, though I don't get paid by piecework/flat rate so I'm going going...

    aircat?

I gave up on IR about 20 years ago, not the same old IR. Became junk. I got my new aircat reversible cutoff tool yesterday, used it today for the first time and was underwhelmed by it's "power". Supposed to be 1/2hp. I sent my 1hp snap on in for rebuild 2 day's ago. I can definitely tell a...

How often do you drain your air compressor?

I drain mine whenever I think about it, definitely more in summer. Usually the first time I get a spurt of water out of a tool...... I keep my tank full of air and shut the valve right at the tank outlet. Id love to find a drier to put in the line.

    aircat?

I have an aircat reversible whizzer/ cutoff tool that shipping says it should be here tomorrow, I think the stock number is 6520. About $90 shipped. This will be my 1st reversible whizzer. It'll be nice to be able to have the sparks go away from me no matter where I am cutting. Not crazy about...

    aircat?

The compressed air is free at work, and I also have a 5hp 80 gallon compressor at home. I do have a few Milwaukee battery tools. Im still too vested in air power to switch at this point.

    aircat?

who knows what about them and their various lines of impact wrenches? Junk? Any good? I need a new 1/2" impact for work and dont want to spend Snap on money if I can help it. Black and Decker Valve Resurfacer Repair

Maybe I should have parted mine out? I scrapped it ( mine was much older version) The cords were shot and I took the 2 motors in to an electric motor shop to have them taken apart and new bearings and brushes and the guy came back with something wrong internally with the armature which meant...

bending 5/16 parts store steel line

    Lower Control arm Tools

Yup. No special tools needed, though on some applications I can make use of my c frame from my ball joints press. More on putting the new ones in than to remove the old ones. I've seen a real similar c clamp type tool over the years made for control arm bushings but have never gotten to try one...

    Hoist vs stacker

For home I wouldn't be without my 2 post, and I can put one vehicle up on the lift and still park one underneath. I have worked off of both 2 and 4 post lifts over the years, the only way I'd want a 4 post is if I get rich (or lucky) and find a deal on an alignment machine. At home I have never...

    Sand Blaster Guns

I've been thru 4 blast guns on this (what was at the time) $99 HF cabinet, replaced the glass a couple of times (needs again) for which I get "used glass" from the local glass shop for, and replaced the gloves once (they need it again) but the cabinet itself is a major POS. I'm tired of the...

    welder/welding

Yup I have a new spool here, gotta get tips to match, I'm used to having 0.030 or 0.035 (usually 0.035) on my machine. Got some sheet metal work on my truck, the 0.023 will work better for. I have a '97 millermatic 185 that I bought new, love it. Older than "autoset" though
