Just Bought a 65 Barracuda that sat for over 20yrs.

I'd file the points, gap them, pull plugs and give the cylinders a squirt with oil, put a good battery in, hit the key with the plugs out, put plugs back in, (or new ones if the existing ones are bad, could be a hell of a story just in looking at those plugs....) hook up a hose to the fuel...

Fond of A Bodies even though I own a B Body

I too have had more trucks and b bodies than a bodies. But have never had anything but Mopar. Nothing wrong with the 318 especially for a cruiser. I currently have an f body, a "late" b body, an 80s d150, a rusty Dakota, 2 Durangos and a '12, ex Fastenal truck I have the d150 apart, but...

Hello from SW WI, my name is Galen Govier and I just signed up to this site.

I remember stories about the guy not decoding cars in a timely fashion (though I never asked for any from him) but he's never been anything but cool with me, the times I've met him at various shows and even though I have never had a vehicle worth caring about vin codes or fender tag codes, he's...

Hello from SW WI, my name is Galen Govier and I just signed up to this site.

I've met Galen at a few shows over the years, and have heard the stories since then. I dunno anything about those, partly because I've never been fortunate enough to have a car where documentation would have been an issue. I've only been able to get known, "one of a gazillion" vehicles that...

New to Mopars---BUT always a cool different car fan.

Sox fan (cubs suck) and a /6 powered early cuda... Looks like he's being raised right.. And no, 3.23 isn't "too tall" of a gear for that combo, sounds like about the perfect gear for a cruiser, wonder if there's something wrong with the engine.. could be as simple as a tune up and valve...

New guy with an old car

I like the car. and even what, 45 years ago... cant believe how "covered up" some of those engines were with extra crap.... vacuum lines and amplifier, etc.... (think; "Where's the beef"? ) only in this case "where's teh engine"?? I'd keep the AC and the /6, but the rest of that crap? to me...

new here but recognize alot of you!

Thanks to all; as far as pics of my Volare? I didnt think you guys would like to see; after all it ain't an A body! it's currently a gutted bare shell. In the process of "un burying it" in the garage so that (body) work can resume.

new here but recognize alot of you!

I have been lurking here a while but just (finally) registered. I see alot of familiar names from the other Mopar forums I frequent. I don't have an A body (yet) so never really thought to sign up here. Those of you that know me from other forums, I'm still the same guy. (Good? Bad? You decide.)
