I had another member ask about this recently. If you PM me your email I will forward the pics and description I sent. (The 1920's are a tiny bit easier to set-up.) Cheers - M

    Slant 6 Valve cover gasket.?????

It sounds like you have a later "hydraulic - lifter" head. These heads can be used on the earlier "solid-lifter" engines, but the valve cover takes a different gasket. Try a Fel-Pro VS50185C or Mahle VS39720

I was looking to put it in my 84 Stepside Pickup, so exhaust options would be easier. I found that the 265 will bolt up (without mods) to a small block 904. Looks that I would need to supply an easy to fab block-off plate. I figured that I would get pretty good crowds at car shows.

    Hydraulic cam for slant

I've been running a Comp Cam hydraulic shaft with lifters, pushrods, etc in my rebuilt 198 for over 3 years.. It performs beautifully! I always keep clean oil in the sump and monitor everything carefully, but Chrysler didn't make the change to hydraulic lightly. I believe that it was helpful...

    4bbl Slant Intake

That is one amazing manifold! Interesting how it achieves equal (ish) runner lengths.

Thanks FABO, still need one more piece...

You need the super-six base gasket FEL-PRO Part # 60188. It is much thicker than the V-8 variety you are currently using.
