Not sure how or why but I feel a difference. Maybe the super techs on the site can chime in. I have also been told magnaflow will outperform flow master on the dyno so maybe that's making all the difference.
I ended up going with 3inch Xpipe with 18inch magna flows. I can feel the bump in low end power and the sound is much more bare able than the flowmaster hpipe I had. Money well spent.
From what I've heard and read magnaflow is best a all around. I'm just really interested to know if I will see a big difference going from 2 1/2 to 3" pipes.
This for my 67 coronet. Just got it running and feel like the highway romp is not breathing. The exhaust sounds like its tight. Hard to explain but image that jalopy ghetto pipe sound.
Running a 512 ci 670hp and 690TQ
6000 RPM motor with 2 1/2 inch exhaust running through flow masters. Everything I've read says I need 3" exhaust to max top end. Any thoughts?
Connect the pipes any way you want. The drone is brutal with straight pipes. I dump the exhaust at the axel but think the pipes should run out the back if you can do it.
They get too hot and the coating gets faded and dull. I know first hand. Unless someone can give me a tip on shining these up .......the extra cost for the polished ceramic was a waste. I tried the cerma glow product but no shine.
I have the TTI's and they have lost their luster. I was told by a friend that the jet hot coating can be polished back to original shine if you heat up the finish and use a real fine wool. Anyone else heard or tried this?
Someone posted some pix of the TTI headers hitting the stearing shaft. I have a very early production and have the same problem. The thread mentioned that TTI has corrected this issue. Does anyone know where I can find that thread again......I cant seem to find it.
