    Exhaust set up idea

Those come straight off the headers, so you'll probably run in to big problems when you get to the crossmember, depending how long they are.

    X Pipe Location

I don't know how critical it is as far as performance, but the directions on my Pypes x-pipe said 10-12 inches behind the tailshaft of the transmission.

Anyone using , or have an opinion on the Pypes SS exhaust

I have a Pypes 2.5" x-pipe system with no mufflers on my big block '69 Bee. It's only loud if you put the pedal down. If you're just cruising, it's quiet enough that you don't have to yell to have a conversation. The only trouble I had with the install was getting pipe bent to clear the...

    Anybody use Pypes X pipe

I've put 2 Pypes X-pipes in cars. The hard part was not getting the X-pipe to fit right. The hard part was routing the pipe from the header to the x-pipe and getting it to clear the torsion bar crossmember.

    will this universal system work?

That looks like a cheap, poorly built setup that would probably be a pain to get it to work in a Duster. I think that system is probably for trucks. Try Pypes. That's where I got my 2.5" X-pipe exhaust. It was more or less a universal kit except for the tailpipes. I got it installed in about 3...

    1973; 318 vs 340 manifolds

Here's a good exhaust manifold comparison Mopar Muscle did a while back. They tested everything from 318 manifolds to tti's. http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/techarticles/engine/mopp_0307_mopar_crate_engine_exhaust/photo_17.html

    1973; 318 vs 340 manifolds

It depends on what kind of power you want to make. On a stock 340, I would say the 318 manifolds will not hurt horsepower that much. And yes, factory 340 manifolds are very expensive. $400-$700 range. Can't beat the performance of headers, especially if you have done any kind of performance work...
