Timing Chain Cover crankshaft opening is the wrong size

...will hide your timing marks behind the loser radiator hose and pump inlet, making them very near unusable. Not to mention the fact that if the timing covers were swapped, your balancer needs to have it's timing mark relocated, since it will be nearly 90* off with the timing marks switching...

He just runs right over old farm tractor

I'm not gonna lie, I feel so sorry for the farmer guy on the tractor. He probably has taken this route 1000's of times with his tractor and unfortunately this was the last due to a trucker not paying attention. I do feel emotional about this, sorry if I do. I too was rear ended by a semi truck...

    Vin trouble

It does change. If the pinion is rotated clock wise the right tire rotated counter clockwise as viewed from the left side of the car. If you turn the axle upside down the right wheel is now on the left side BUT the rotation is still the sameas before. Therefore it will be rotating clockwise as...

Timing Chain Cover crankshaft opening is the wrong size

The seals for a 68, 69, 70... are all the same. They only changed HOW they install. Later ones go in from the front. Just get one and pound it in. Don't overthink it.

    T-bar query

I’m working on my 68 dart and have done some suspension changes and have pulled torsion bars out. I was wondering if someone can identify the size they are and I am having a problem reinstalling. It just won’t seem to line up to the clock position to be able to get the front of the bar to slide...

Timing Chain Cover crankshaft opening is the wrong size

Looks like it needs a repair sleeve or get a new balancer. See the wear marks in the balancer snout?

Timing Chain Cover crankshaft opening is the wrong size

I'm blown away that you cannot see that the first timing cover HAS a seal in it. That's the hole in the SEAL you're measuring. Damn.

Timing Chain Cover crankshaft opening is the wrong size

Get a seal for a 78 it should fit your new cover.

Timing Chain Cover crankshaft opening is the wrong size

No, you're fine. Put a new seal in the timing cover and test fit the balancer if you'd like. Should fit fine.

Timing Chain Cover crankshaft opening is the wrong size

This is the backside of the harmonic balancer, is the cap ring attached to it going to interfere with the crankshaft seal for the new timing chain cover, just trying to cover all the steps.
