so pulled the heads on this 72 340 i bought ...been sitting 20? years never started glad to find no rust inside ...its 30 over (like the guy said)....but can anyone id the pistons seller said 10.5 : 1 (going to pull them out ) to check every thing ...for my stock 69 build might just say f-it...

so I have a set of 0 heads 202 valves that need rebuilding I just bought this 340 with rebuilt j heads 202 valves going to build a 69 340 ,trying to build it as close to stock as possible what's the difference between them ...does it even matter to me ?? what head came on the 69 thanks

so bought this 69 273 for parts for my oe 340 build just started thinking maybe build a screamer out of it what makes a 273 is it bore and stroke ....thinking could use left over parts from the 340 (have a set of .020 pistons extra rods ect ) going to tare it down tomorrow see if block/crank...

is there anything special about the oe valve covers ,i heard they make repops .....
