    A-904 exploded view diagram needed

By chance does anyone have an exploded view diagram of a A-904 transmission for a 74’ Dodge tf-6 they can share? the service manual and all the transmission books I have don’t show a solid view. Sadly they jump from 727 to 904 back and forth. Nothing consistent. I know they are “all the...

904 questions - where is my 904 experts

So in that 66’ barracuda with the heavily modified 273 I finished a bit ago. I decided to pull the engine back out after 300miles and get the back of the crank turned to accept the larger 904 converter nub (machine shop forgot to do that when they built the engine but they are making good now...

Converter with 1.550” nub builder needed

Has anyone had a builder recently build a customer converter for a pre 67 a-904? I tried Cope- nope I tried Protorque- maybe. Engine is done and cannot machine crank for it is already done and in the car. Machine shop did not want to cut crank as “converters are easy with small register.” Lol...

    8-3/4 abody identity- what year?

So I broke the motor in my 66 Barracuda with a 8-1/4 rear I rebuilt but dis like the 2:45 gears so I bought an 8-3/4 abody rear and had a good 3:23 sg to drop in it. The axles are Dr diff big bolts for 2-1/2” x 10 drums. How do I know what actual year my housing is? My 72’ Demon has the breather...

    Doctor diff axle question-

So I sent the new to me 8-3/4 abody housing out for a good cleaning before assembly on my 66’. I purchased Doctor Diff BBP axles for stock width and green bearings. When my housing came back the machine shop took out the axle seals from the factory. With the green bearings that are sealed...

Rear axle paint colors and dabs

I tried the search feature and struck out. Somewhere, I think on here but maybe not, I saw a chart showing a 8-3/4 rear axle identification paint marks. I’m going thru a 741 sg unit now for a new 8-3/4 I’m building and it has a large reddish orange dawb mark on one side of the bottom of the...

Found a video about torque converters.

I’m not the type to pass on crappy videos but love when others do. I am home sick today and watching boob-tube videos after video and found this video how a torque converter works. it’s basic, but gives a good understanding to those who don’t know how these things work. I found a few items I...

7.25 rear axle question- possibly for sale

Hey folks- So I purchased 66' abody a while back with a few good surprises, one of them being it has a 7.25" rear but with sure grip AND 3.23-1 ratio! I feel like I hit the 7.25 jackpot IF there was ever such a thing. No noises, no howls or clunks. This rear is a spare and if I sell it- what...
