[SOLD] ‘72 rebuilt 340

I purchased this 340 from an estate sale with the plan of putting it in my dart but have since decided to go a different direction. It was rebuilt by the owner of a reputable machine shop locally a couple years ago for his sons challenger. Unfortunately life had different plans for them so I was able to acquire it. I don’t know all the specs but I did use a borascope to check it out. Looks like a stock type build. Everything looks brand new and freshly machined. I had planned on tearing it down far enough to lube it properly and do a proper break in.

Prefer local pickup in Morgan Hill, Ca but could possibly ship as long as buyer coordinates the shipping from 95037.

FYI...That's a 73 340.

Looks like a steel crank was put in it instead of cast. Look at the balancer.

The casting was rough looked like a 72 but guess not.

No builder had passed away. I bought it from the widow. I just made sure it was a fresh rebuild.

Blocks are cast prior to cars final assembly, yours was cast in 72, but was installed in a 73 year vehicle

Gotcha. I assumed since it was early in the year it could have been in a 72.
