I have the chance to pick up some 7x18 4 1/4” backspace (et6)wheels for my 68 Signet. Front hubs are the ‘dreaded’ Wilwood conversions, but I have both the centre bore measurement and mounting face to centre cap measurement which will accommodate the hub sizes.

Where I am unsure is where in the arch the wheel will sit. As the conversion doesn’t push the hubs out I’m guessing a large backspace isn’t necessary, but if anyone has fitted this size, or similar backspace on drums or the same conversion I’d be interested to know/see clearance. I’m planning on lowering the front a little.

Thanks if you got this far and didn’t fall asleep…:poke::D

an 18x7 with 4.25" backspace will sit in the exact same spot as a 15x7 with 4.25" backspace (what most RWD 15x7 OEM wheels are, like cop wheels or factory M body wheels), but will be 3" larger in diameter...

Spaced 1” as adapters fitted whilst the SBP front drums are in place.
