I would like to know where another vin number can be found besides on the door jamb. The one on the dash is missing.

There isn't one on the dash. Was never there, so it's not "missing". There wasn't a "VIN" system in place in 1957, so different manufacturers did different things regarding serial numbers.

In addition to the door jamb there's a data plate on the firewall that should include the vehicle's serial #, body #, etc.
