Just picked up a 1964 dodge dart. Model is a 170 coupe.

It has the 225 motor. 63000 miles.

This is my first venture into classic cars so much to learn.

I originally thought about a restored but now thinking of keeping it stock and doing a light restore.

Welcome from another '64 Dart owner. I'm doing a "light" resto/driver on mine as well. And, as rough as she is, I have a blast driving her, and turn heads all of the time. Just drive her a bit and enjoy. You can always go for the gusto later.

It was a good weekend. i replaced the valve head cover gasket and the spark plug tube o rings on the motor. Also, dropped in a new air filter and fuel filter. But the big thing was tearing out the old headliner and doing the floor. i used rust bullet with some fiberglass cloth to patch. Here is a before and after shot:

Hello again Wetjet

Wow! What a great looking Dart! Damn, seeing that car makes me want another one.

Very nice job on the floor. Keep us posted on the progress.

Happy Holidays
