The Signet was the highest trim level available for a Valiant and includes bucket seats and a floor shifter, so this is a pretty sporty car. Originally powered by a 225 Slant/904 automatic it has and has been converted to 273 V8/ 904 automatic. The 273 came from a 65 Barracuda so it is period correct. Car was originally red with black interior.

This is a very solid car with very minimal rust. Minor rust in the floor pan has been repaired and other body panels (front fenders and trunk lid) have been replaced with rust free pieces. Sub frame, rockers, and trunk are original and rust free.

Besides the V8 conversion other mechanical upgrades include:
-Dual reservoir master cylinder and disk brakes from a 73 Duster.
-Dual exhaust with new Thrush Turbo mufflers
-After market 14” wheels with very good tires.
-New brake lines including rubber lines to the wheels.
-New gas line.
- The original #’s matching Slant 6 225/ 905 tranny is included in the sale

The car currently runs and drives so it can be used as a driver with minimal additional work or as a great start for a restoration project.
Still to be done are:
-Seats need to be recovered but new and correct OEM reproduction covers are included in the sale.
-Carpet installed – new carpet is also included.
-Minor assembly of trim, etc. but all required trim pieces are included.
-A new top.
-Minor body repairs and paint.

Car is located in South Windsor, CT
Asking $3200
