1968 Barracuda Formula S 383/4 speed

Aloha, My new project , Numbers matching 1968 Formula S Notchback 383 / 4 speed . 3.91 / b5 blue . split bench, no console / heater delete. Car is in pieces, hoping to find out how rare ? If worth putting 15 to 20 thou to restore it. Some body and trim pieces missing but #'s matching motor & trans has been rebuilt and ready to go. What's your thoughts ??? How many out there ? Rare ?

How about posting a link to the thread you are referring to? I tried searching for "falling prices on gen2barracudas" and didn't find anything. I'm curious about this because I may be interested in buying a 2nd gen Barracuda.

Seen a really nice fastback example sell for $22k, if that helps!! Now, if it's a convertible, there were only 42 four speeds and 7 automatics!! I think the number on fastbacks is 182 four speeds, can't remember the auto count!! I can check my books later when I'm home!!

Notch is awesome and I think production numbers are lower.
That said if you are looking to make a profit, you better do most if not all of the work yourself.
BB 4 spd notch. Its cool and rare but you ain't gonna get rich.
The "falling prices" link, is an opinion and everyone has one. So take it with a grain of salt.
Would love to see pics of the notch!
