I have a tinted wing window from a 69 Dart, if that will fit????

tinted vent glass is the same valiant, dart, cuda for all body styles. Part#2861636 and 2861637 for the other side for 68-69

He also asked for a tinted door glass and that is why I asked about what body style.

10-4 Bill, me and vdart just spent an hour on the phone going over the differences in glass...Im seeing stars right now, Ma Mopar didnt make it easy.:banghead: The main door glass is specific to verts and to the year.

Steve, I know that it is verts only but are you sure about the year? I thought 1967-1969 interchanged with the tint vs. the no tint being the difference.

CoNvErTiBlE ONLY
My Hollander Interchange shows 1967 and 1968 front door glass to be the same. 1969 shows to be one year only.

It shows that the quarter glass and the front vent glass to be the same from 1967 thru 1969.

Look up the door window regulator and it shows 1967 thru 1969 as the interchange. It also interchanges on other cars besides the convertible and goes up to 1972. It doesn't make sense why the window is different.

Hey Bill, I might not be 100% correct for the year 67 as my parts manual is for 68-71 and my interchange manual is for 68-74, so it doesnt cover 67's. But 69 part # for vert covering barracuda and dart is (non tinted) 2861902 2861903(tinted)2861904 and 2861905. for 68 the tinted # for cuda and dart vert is 2663510 and 2663511. non tinted is 2663508 and 2663509. No vert #s listed for valiant though...wasnt there vert valiants in 68 and 69?? Just adding to the confusion here LOL

No domestic Valiant convertibles after 1966. I am using a 38th edition Hollander and it covers all the 2nd generation Barracuda's and at least through 1972 on the Darts and etc.

Look up the door window regulator and it shows 1967 thru 1969 as the interchange. It also interchanges on other cars besides the convertible and goes up thru 1972. It doesn't make sense why the window is different.

Here is what I got bill for the regulator, part # 2765792 and 2965793 ds and ps for 68 and 69 as well as val's cuda's and darts. Take a look at the pics below. the one with my finger in it pointing to the "stop" is a 69 cuda vert door..glass is clear as well as straight across the bottom. 2nd pic with my finger and tinted glass also has a "stop", but there is a hump on the bottom of the glass, this is 69 fastback and is unique to 69 fastback.3rd pic is of the same glass. 4th pic with no stop, not quite sure what year it is from, but im betting its fastback...still gotta do some deciphering...its either 67 or 68. I dont have a 67 parts book. Sorry for the blabbing here, but in short for whatever reason it looks like in 69 they added the extra stop in the main glass....for what reason I dont know. Also 69 vert glass is flat across the bottom, no hump...I would like to see pics of 67 fastback glass, as well as 67-8 vert glass. Confusing as heck, but considering fastbacks were unique cars, thats why there glass is specific too.....the saga continues....

I will answer the glass difference-- the 69 model year changed to the post at the rear of the glass for the stop-- the earlier years used glass stops mounted inside the door. so yes the glass will work -- just the stop method is different--- i would think that a 67-68 rear slide is missing the attaching bracket that stops the glass's upward movement.

I have not put my glass back in yet --so i'm not positive on the plac ement of the stops-- but my d/s glass is 67/68 version-- while the p/s is 69 version.
Luckily I kept a complete 69 door & i'm comparing hardware as I disassemble -- so I can re-assemble my convert.!!

Lawrence

The vent glass is the same for a 67-69 Dart, Barracuda or Valiant 21 post, 23 hardtop/notchback, 27 convertible, 29 fastback or 41 four door model and for a 70, 71, 72 Dart Swinger or Plymouth Scamp 23 model 2 door hardtop or 41 model four door and also for 73-76 Dart or Scamp 41 model 4-door
If by chance you still need the tinted drivers vent glass i have an excellent used one PM me if the others don't work out

I am looking for a left side tinted door glass and vent window for a 1968 dart. Thanks

I have a tinted wing window from a 69 Dart, if that will fit????
