A friend just purchased a 1968 Valiant 2 door post. Ill be honest, I dont know a lot about Mopars and am just helping him out. The VIN decode comes back with a D in the fifth digit. Appears to be an original V8 273 car? Interior code is H6X. Does that indicate black vinyl bucket seats?

I've seen that one for sale here for a while now. Looks pretty nice overall. The price was fairly reasonable when you consider what it takes to get to that stage!

Ohhh… I didnt realize it was mentioned on here. Ill have to look. It has LOTS of loose ends and LOTS of potential.

Sorry, not here. I live in Lethbridge. That is the here I was refering to!

Gotcha. Im a Chevy II guy and I found it interesting that a 2 door post car was available with a bucket seat interior. Car apprars to have a 318 LA engine. Holley 780 vacuum and a Comp Thumpr. Not gonna be a fun tune….

Is it a Signet? Signets came standard with bucket seats, I had a 69 Valiant Signet 4-door that had bucket seats which were locked so they didn’t fold forward. I also had a 68 Valiant 200 2-door post with cloth seats, the seats were pretty torn but I bought NOS material from SMS out of Oregon and had them sewn up.

First 5 digita of VIN are

VL21D

Maybe someone can help me out. I think the D is 273 and possibly the 1 is Signet?

In need of front and rear bumpers. Going to get a price on repair and rechrome of originals. Any luck on aftermarket?

They were a option.I do remember a numbers guy looking at the tag and it did show the code.

They're an option on signet. I've had 68's and 69's with bench seat.
