Don't have pictures.Non threaded holes on either end of my thumb wheel radio for securing radio to dash. Do'es anyone know what the fasteners look like? It can't be a nut and bolt because the head of the bolt sticks out to far , and you can't mount the face plate flush to dash . I'm sure someone with a thumb wheel knows what I'm describing. Any ideas.

thought they were countersink screws

As nutz said, they were countersink machine screws. The screws went thru the dash frame, into the face plate behind the dash frame and into the radio chassis, securing it to the dash.
