ADHD,

Jensen used a Salisbury rear axle. Yes, some of the parts were Dana 44's. Some of the parts are Salisbury and hard to find today. Most of the early Salisbury axles were "open" carrier which means they are not a limited slip or "sure grip".

FYI - Dana 44's are no more durable than an 8 3/4 so bear that in mind.

You have to measure the axle from axle flange to axle flange. Aside from ensuring the same outer dimensions are the same you have to consider "pinion offset" Mopars are a consistant 1 3/16 " offset. In simple terms this means one axle is 1 3/16th inch longer than the other.

Check the bolt pattern too. I think they were metric.
