I'm looking for a complete 1971 225 slant 6, ideally with the auto trans, located in or within driving distance from upstate New York.

Have a few odds, and ends, from a late sixties unit, post '67, if you happen to find a long block assembly only. manifold, kick down rod, wp pulley, etc. Manifold has been blasted, with fine sand, since this picture was taken. Clean desert items, package deal if you bought rest of it. Intake manifold fits in Flat Rate game box via USPS.

Ok, thanks for the info, that's good to know. Still looking...

I got one in California, road trip! Or I could sell you the block and exhaust manifold as those are the only 1971 specific parts. Strap it to a pallet and use fastenall?

California, dam.. I'm going to wait to see if one pops up in the northeast, but if it doesn't I'll let you know. Thanks very much for the info.

No problem, shipping the block might not be too bad with fastenall if you want to go that route. It’s the original motor from my 1971 Dodge Demon, has 82,000 original miles on it. Was starting to rod knock and was pulled immediately. I also have the 904 transmission for it.

Between 70-72 most slant six exhaust manifolds have a unique choke well. It’s actually open to the exhaust and has a drop in metal gasket that seals it.

A choke well? I didn't know that. That motor and trans are exaclty what I need for my '71 Demon. It's normal luck for me that it happens to be a million miles away. Well if one doesn't pop up over here in the northeast, I'll let you know! Thanks.

There is a member going from Florida to CA and back I believe in the FABO transportation network thread. Then you just need to get to Florida lol
