I would like to put this like on a dodge truck forum, but hopefully just somebody looking for the correct. One, we'll stumble upon this out there in the world of internet...
Anyways, my 98 Dodge, of course, the - top is busted to c*** I can't even put a cover on it. So I ordered a new one from LMC truck. Ginos makes one as well, and it can get here just a tick. Cheaper, but then you have to paint it. And there's several other things that just didn't seem right, so the few extra bucks for the correct color one from you. Lmc seems to be the ticket...
The - bezels seem to become a real problem for the early 98. That still has the pull for the headlights. Instead of the turn switch with the little dial, it ends up being too high in the bezel, and everybody complains about it that it doesn't fit their truck...
It's true I got one and it doesn't fit in that area. But I looked and the bracket that the switch is on can be just tweaked a little bit, and then it fits in bezel. It doesn't seem like anybody tried that...
If the bezel doesn't have attachment clips on it when it comes, so you're able to pull it, put it over the top of the - and fit it before you actually clip it on there. And that's what I was doing was free tweaking the headlight switch, so when I do put the clips on it, clips on and fits correctly and looks correctly.
I'll put some internet pictures of people complaining, and then I'll put some pictures of where I tweaked it a little bit..
Also, the bezels can be anywhere from 35 bucks to a 235 bucks, but I paid about 40 for mine. The first one came, it didn't have the vent extensions. So the vent area would have been just blowing out the back of the bezel, instead of sealed up against the vent. Then I ordered another one, and you just have to look in the pictures to make sure that the little vent down in the lower left hand corner and the upper vent have the little extension that are going to make it seal against the dash... So I did end up selling sending the thirty nine dollar one back and buying the forty one dollar one that had it...
