2 1/2 " TTI exhaust pipes

I've got a 69 340 engine in a 72 Swinger w/ 727 trans, 72 340 exhaust manifolds.I bought 2 1/2" exhaust pipes from TTI. The driver side pipe is a close fit between torsion bar and floor, so close I had to deform the pipe a little so it woud not rub on top and bottom. Anyone else had this problem? The motor is sitting exactly per specs .

Are the engine mounts new? Is the engine centered? Was the car ever hit? There's many variables that could affect installation and clearances. I just did a completed TTI system install on my car and there were plenty of issues. See my thread:

TTI's are a bastard to wrestle in, but once they're in, they fit great. If that make's sense....

I just put a set on my 72 Duster (yesterday) with a 68 318 block 360 heads and 340 manifolds. They went in like butter. about 1/2 inch on each side between torsion bar and floor. These are the best....
