2001 Dodge Ram Engine Swap

So, I've got an 01 Ram with a 5.9 l in it that I would like to swap out, but have a few questions.

First off, would a 5.7 hemi bolt up to the transmission in it already? I would think it would be pretty straight forward, especially if I take parts out of the donor truck.

I also have a good lead on a 4.7 engine, would it be terribly difficult to put that in?

I guess I'm just looking for opions on which would be better to do.

The mechanical swap would be easy compared to the electronics and computer issues you would run in to.

Its not the peice of cake that it seems, but it can be done. The electronics will prob be your worst nightmare.
