I read somewhere The Cummins passed the 13' emissions without the additive, but the chevy and Ford didn't. The Obama group thought to make the market fair, make Ram use it anyway. God forbid GM would be at a disadvantage. So, the last 2012 ran off the assembly line at the end of November, 2012. Dodge loaded up on as many pre 13' models that they could. I bought mine in Jan 13', and it was built in October I believe.
