Check Facebook market place they had one in So cal that was rebuilt

For performance wise you would just have to port them and mill the heads down for compression.

The later peanut heads have a better chamber? Something like that.

Yeah there was a revision in the combustion chamber in the 60’s and then hardened seats in the 70’s. I prefer the early 70’s casting if I’m being picky. The post-‘78 head uses a different spark plug.

how much of a rush are you in? i have a complete motor that's in my 65 wagon so i'd need to pull it.

also have the 3spd trans and assorted bits if you're interested in any of that.
