Hi yall... take a look at this valiant brougham I picked up last month..now that I got it running and cleaned up I wanted to see what you all think of the rust it has...pretty darn crusty you ask me. So what do you say ?? Repair or part it out ?

I'd repair it and drive it. The rest of the car looks pretty good.

the bottom of the rear quarters is pretty ugly too... rusted up about 8 inches or so... but amazingly the trunk looks pretty good.. i'll try and get pics of it tommorrow...

I think you can get lower patch panels. You'll probably have to replace the vinyl top, or leave it off. If you can do the body work and paint it's worth doing.

really ? .. I know I can find Scamp quarters...but aren't they different from 4 door cars ? I think I need total quarter panel replacements from the middle of the C pillar down....

a solid car with the typical vinyl top headache. you have to decide what you want the car to be. i couldnt see parting it. if you dont want to put a lot of work into it there are plenty of ghetto fabulous ways to fix it. looks like a good driver to me.

Thanks guys... I think I will drive it and fix the few things that are wrong with it. One guy called it a survivor because it has all the original stuff in it, except the hub caps.. LOL
