My fel pro kit came with an oring which I take it is for the distributor because it fit nicely, and then a gasket which I take was for the base of the distributor mounted the block.
I don't know if I needed them both for my application (1970 318).
When I tried to put them both on the gasket doesn't fit around the base of the distributor 100% it's just a little too small. So my distributor mounting plate could not get tightened down. So I removed the gasket and just put it on with the oring. Is this okay?
