I have been hoarding parts for a long time and I am going a different direction now so it's time to thin the heard.

I have 5 340 engines for sale. I will drop them off at a Fastenal if you would like them shipped.

#1.) 1967 cast block. Standard bore. No visual damage. $2,500

#2.) 1969 cast block. It broke a couple rods and needs a few sleeves. No main webbing damage or oil pan rail damage visible. Has a forged steel crank, the rods and pistons that were in it. Oil Pan. A set of 2.02 valve heads. Rockers and shafts. A small bucket with most of the bolts for the engine. Asking $1,500

#3.) 1970 cast block. Standard bore. No visual damage. $2,500

#4.) 1970 cast warranty block. No vin stamped. Has aluminum foil tag riveted to block by oil filter. This was a complete '71 engine when i got it. I have disassembled it for inspection. Block is .030 over now. The crank is forged steel and standard. Has floater pin rods on the .030 pistons. 2.02 J heads. #2100 intake manifold. I would be temped to hone this engine and put it back together. Windage tray, oil pan, valve covers, rockers and shafts, etc. $4,500

#5.) 1973 cast warranty block. no vin stamped. The engine is completely rebuilt but needs assembled. Has a forged steel crank that was turned 20/20, radiused the oil holes and was micropolished. Has floater pin 340 rods that have ARP rod bolts installed, resized the big end, and new bushings in the small end installed. Pistons are 30 over Keith Black #243 flat tops. Block was magged, tumbled and bored .030 with BHJ block plate and the rotating assembly was balanced by Dougan's in Riverside, CA. The heads are 2.02 valve J-Heads. They have new Comp Stainless valves, retainers and keepers. Hardened seat installed. All assembled and ready to run. Other new parts include Mopar Performance purple shaft cam and lifters, Mellings high volume oil pump, Clevite 77 bearings (cam bearings already installed), Comp Cams double roller timing chain and gears set, new dip stick and tube, oil pickup, Fel Pro full engine gasket set, etc. Used parts include rockers and shafts, push rods, bolts, oil pan, windage tray, valve covers, timing cover, brackets and pulleys, etc. $5,500

If you have any questions let me know.

Located in Southern California.

Thank you,

Jeff

Would you kindly post the casting dates and vin numbers? I am looking for my original block if it is still in existence. I know others are looking for theirs, too.
Thanks.

10/2/67 Standard bore. These early blocks don't have pads for vin. numbers.
9/23/70 Standard bore. partial vin stamped 1B32493.

The 7/1/70 engine and the 5/29/73 engine don't have vins stamped.

I don't have the vin off of the '69 block with me but I will try to get it and post it up.

I have a 06-67 casting 340 that has a VIN, it is stamped behind driver side head right where the trans bell housing meets the block.
