I have a complete 413 that will be going into my 74 Duster. It supposedly is in good condition, but I will take it down and check everything before the transplant.
I have heard that a 440 crank will work in this engine and give more cubes. Has anyone done this? If so, what all is involved? Will I need new pistons, rods, etc? Any information or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, that will saves me some time and embarrassment.

I have heard boring a 413 .060 Makes a 426 max wedge!!!! Is this :angry7:true?

The heads are really what make the max wedges. They had no heat crossovers, larger ports, and larger exhaust valves, but if you bored the 413 .60 over you`d be close to the bore of the 426 at 4.24. The 383 and 426 are both 4.25 bores.
