Hey guys, had a falling out with the guy who was supposed to help me with my motor, I'm going to tackle it on my own but would like a manual or something for reference, any one have a link to a good book or like a hayes type manual I can buy for a 71 440? I'm looking for something with tolerances and assembly instructions type of thing. I have all my bearings etc. and my rotating assembly is off getting balanced just need to assemble the motor.

would this be helpful? There is really nothing stock about my motor so I don't know if this is a waste of $ or if I should just find answers as I go along when I get stuck. I have a lot of $ into this build and want to get it right, I'm capable I just don't know all the specs etc.

Here's a link to Mymopar site where you can down load different year service manuals for free.

they have the 71 plymouth manual, not Dodge, but the engine information will be the same.

I would also recommend downloading the other manuals that are close to your year also just for reference.

Probably should compile a list of all parts you are using and do some research on them as well.

I would recommend a Mopar, or Dodge factory service manual. All the specifications and details are there with clear drawings and photos. The electrical diagrams are especially correct compared to aftermarket manuals. Here is one example from google search for "1970 dodge factory service manual"

Thanks for the help guys, I have rebuilt 4 stroke atv motors and such on my own without the help of manuals or anything but I have a lot of money invested in this and just want to be sure I get it right!
