has anyone tried anything other than the TTI headers? what about a stock manifold off of something? (car, truck, jeep, durango, ect) what about using a car, truck, jeep, or durango aftermarket header? does anything come close that might need a slight rerouting of one or 2 tubes on the header? let me know what you guys think. im just getting started on my swap here soon, (as soon as the cage and subframe connectors are done) and would like to know what you all have done.

There was some discussion of some of this on the Big Block Dart site.

They used stock cast iron grand cherokee manifolds in a Hot Rod magazine build.

I'm not sure if anyone has managed to use the 6.1 SRT cherokee manifolds or not, but I saw it discussed. Stock truck manifolds definately will not work.

I am using TTI headers. They are definately pricey and a tight fit.

I have shorties from S&P (Street & Performance). They fit great, they built mine to order and were priced reasonably

I have the Jeep srt manifolds on mine, they fit great.

well i just got a set of 05 cherokee manifolds today, allong with a durangos oil pan, pick up tube, and 4 rims and tires from a 06 charger. (they have the same BP and will work for now untill i can find something better) the price was right i got everything for the labor of a cam swap on my friends 04 ram truck. I am also going to see if the pacesetter long tubes out of my wrecked truck will fit with some tweeking. (if i have to rebuild a tube or a bend then that might be the way to go ill keep everyone posted)

I'm using car manifolds from a 2009 5.7 . they have the same exhaust port as a 6.1. The car manifold looked like it would flow a little better.
