:wack:62 Lancer GT is happenin. Got a nice , running aluminum block 3 speed car several months ago and it's all coming together. Aluminum block coming out of car to be stored or sold. Purchased a crazy expensive built 225 for $250 from a guy that just wasn't into it anymore. Have receipts for $3300. have OD 833, bellhousing and shitfter, 8 inch ford. Clifford 4 bbl and 390 holley. This is not intended to be a race car and will be a nice compliment to my 67 383 fury III and 69 383 d100 sweptline. I have no pictures yet but will post as I go along. I will genuinely appreciate any sound advice or constructive criticism from anyone. Thanks a bunch. Mark in North Dakota.

Good luck with your project, post some pictures when you get a chance.

Here is my 62 Wagon, 4 years so far, hope to be done spring 15.

:coffee2: I appreciate you and your responses a bunch. This iron 225 I got really was the deal of a lifetime. Block has been stress relieved. dynamically balanced crank. Balanced rod/piston assemblies. .100 off the head. ARP main studs and head bolts. EVERY fastener outside is ARP stainless hex heads. I gave my long tube headers to my son for sue on his 65 Dart post car. Can I get dual Dutra duals from Doug Dutra, or are they only available from Layson's. Hope everyone has a great day. Mark

far as I know they are available from Doug, don't know if any price difference, saw a set on Ebay while back, not sure if any bidders. they come available from slantsix.org members occasionally... check there too...
61lancer555: wow I like that wagon! been having this craving for a wagon. is it my age or what!!????? LOL like to have an old sweptline too!

:coffee2:Love my 69 sweptline. d100 adventurer. originally slant automatic. 68000 real miles when I got it. went to an iron two barrel and Carter BBS. Slant is not a good idea in a 3700 pound brick. couldn't go 60 into a North Dakota wind. Now it's fairly stock 67 383 auto. Way better.

:coffee2:I've been pervin' your wagon for a long time. Nice as any anywhere. If I ever find a nice wagon 66 or earlier I'm gonna buy it. Thanks for what you do!!

You should have no trouble selling the Aluminum Block motor either. Check the head casting to see what head is on it. I am looking for a "Special" marked head if you find that on the motor I would be interested. Let us know if we can help!

:coffee2:Hyper Pak, you shouldn't have told me that there might be a "special" head cause you know I'm gonna want to keep it. I haven't really looked at this car hard yet. I will keep you updated. Mark.

Hey man, I ain't that way. Check it out, chances are it has a different head. There is the SPECIAL, a STAR or an ALPHA NUMBER like G-H-13. Might be any one of those or could be just one of the common heads. Some folks say you don't need the special head.
