[FOR TRADE] 65 Barracuda a833 4 speed

Looking to trade my Early A-Body Ball & Trunion 4 speed transmission for a 66
A-body slip joint style 4 speed trans. Shifter and mechanism/rods NOT included. This one came from a 65 Barracuda 273 Commando

The rods, levers, and shifter are specific to the early B&T in case you were planning to use the ones above on the newer slip yoke trans in your swap.

The shifter and linkage are specific to the early A, but can be used in 67 up A Bodies. If I were you I'd just replace the main shaft and tail housing. They are not expensive and no special tools are required. If the adjusting buttons are stuck, cut them off and get new ones. Those shift rods are very hard, if not impossible, to find.

if you can’t find someone willing to trade or don’t want to change parts, you might consider doing the slip joint conversion as outlined in a current thread here on FABO. I will be doing it on my 64 LA 904

Nothing wrong with the B&T, ask any Max Wedge car.

unless you don't want the 3.09 1st gear, i'd recommend doing a slip joint conversion drive shaft. easier and cheaper than converting to the later splined main shaft and hunting down a tail housing.

Here is thr parts list. The slip yoke is listed incorrect and should be 2-3-8001kx. FWIW I ordered everything except the tube from Amazon. Any driveshaft shop should be able to order everything
