Good luck in your search! Friend of mine sold just the front bezel at Carlisle for $200 to the first guy who came along and saw it. Same friend had a non-working tach - no can or wiring- sell it at the Mopar Nationals for $500 firm. I watched money change hands both times.

I don't doubt that, I been looking for a long time. I had a chance to buy one a while back for $500 and thought it was to much money, now I wish I would of bought it. If I could even find the bezel it would be a start. I know this is a shot in the dark but nothing ventured nothing gained.

Not to sound stupid but what is the can?

Looks sort of like a round sardine can or maybe a thin tuna fish can which houses all the actual electronics. There's a company that the name escapes me right now that has made a modern solid state upgrade that's a direct fit into the "can". The cans were found in 65-66 Barracudas for sure and maybe in 67-up but not sure about that. They were also found in all 66/67 Chargers as well. I can get a pic of mine tomorrow for reference.

EDIT: BTW, no such thing as a stupid question, just The one that wasn't asked!

The can should be a little easier to come by than the tach since it was used in other years and cars.

You would think so but maybe not - I had a 67 Charger and it was missing (behind the glove box) and a friend of mine who also still has his 67 Charger is still looking for one!

Behind the driver's kick panel. I think it was located somewhere near the glove box on 66 Barracudas but really not positive. Someone who had a 66 with a factory tach would know for sure.

@Silverwarrior - Here is one of those elusive tachs
