65 dart Valve cover interference

In 16 days from now theres a large car show.....ive been trying to get my car to go, thought i just needed brakes and tags. Easy to do in 16 days..well today i go to stray off tags and brakes, and put my new( to me) cal custom valve covers on... They hit my friggin single pot master cylinder. Im going to try to slot the holes in it.do you guys have other suggestions?

Strip and paint the old ones.

I also have some custom bars that will go from infront my engine mount to the firewall for extra strength. I cut so much out of the shock towers i think it needs it.and since i cut out the shock towers i might mount the shocks to the bars.
