I was cleaning up my door hinges and (much to my surprise) have found bushings on both ends of the upper door hinge pins. The door hinges appear to me to be factory original. Have these hinges been worked on/restored/repaired or are they like this from the factory? Thank you.

It is factory. I have 2 NOS hinges and went out to look at them. They actually come in pieces and have to be assembled. Both are bushed.

Do they also serve as washers/spacers ? vs steel on steel

Yep, every upper Mopar hinge that I have ever seen has bushings. The shoulders do kind of serve as washers to keep them tight. The bottom hinges are a different story. The have no bushings, and the wear out and egg shape the hole, which makes the door droop, which in turn busts the striker post area. I rebuild all of my lower hinges and add bushings to that hinge also.

Where do you get the parts to do that??

I have bought them at the Ford Dealer, or most of the time you can find them on the "Help" rack at the local auto parts store. You have to file the shoulders down on one part of the lower hinge, so the bushings will fit. It's about as easy to just buy new pins, and have the egged out part of the hinges welded up and redrilled.
