I just bought nee headlight bezels for my 67 dart I'm restoring . They look like they have silver paint on them on the wide part on the bottom. Are the grilles suppose to be painted there too in silver? I polished the grille as best I could after using oven cleaner . Si never noticed it had paint on it before i used oven cleaner to strip it. Then again it's over 50 years old and may have just been worn out?

There is argent color on the bottom of the grill
And on the inside of the headlight bezzel
And on the inside of the headlight bezzel
BTW the aluminum trim is "bright anodized" it can be polished but you are removing the anodizing.
