On my 67 Dart hard top rear roll up window, it has come loose from the front frame. I assume I need to remove the window from the cast aluminum piece the rollers fit in. How do I get the window out of the frame? I have the piece on the workbench, but afraid of damaging or breaking something. Looking for a safe way to de-bond the old tape. Any ideas?

You have the glass and frame out of the car already?

Light heat will help soften the adhesive and you should be able to slowly pull the glass from the frame.

But..

Maybe you just need to reattach the leading edge?

If there is a proper glass shop near you (does not need to be an automotive glass only shop) they might be able to help you.

I have a rear quarter glass from a 67 convert that the glass was shattered out of. It took a lot of scraping and heating to get the bits of glass out. But the frame survived.

A vent window frame, same car, the long drivers glass channel has come unwelded from the rest of the frame not the same issue but it should be able to be reattached without removing the glass from the frame.

If the glass is still in the car the factory service manual has instructions on how to remove and Install in the car

Yes, the frame is out of the car, I will try the heat idea. Thanks
