69 340 valve covers ?

is there anything special about the oe valve covers ,i heard they make repops .....

On 69 340 engine valve covers, Passenger side has a heat shield to protect the alternator and temperature sender wires from heat damage and the drivers side has a taller loom bracket at the rear of the cover to clear the ignition wires from the throttle cable along with the kick down linkage. Other than that much the same as 273 or 318 2 barrel engines.

AMD was selling repops, not anymore I believe. 69 340 is 1 year only of course lol.
If you can weld, you can very easily "make" a 340 set. As Noel said abv, pass side has a cupped loom/wire holder. Driver side has a much taller bracket for plug wires, so to clear the 4bl linkage etc.

All 69 sb's shared the same pass side cover as far as I know. The difference is the drivers side with the taller wire bracket. You may find them separately cheaper lol.
