70 Dart 4-Speed Pedal Assy, Where Does This Spring Go??

When I took out my master cylinder I had this spring which I saved and labeled. Putting everything back together but can't remember how the spring was installed. Is it even a standard part for a 70 Dart 4-Speed car? Thanks!!

I’ve never seen a spring like that. Kinda looks like a over center spring but its not heavy enough.

Hard to tell the size of it since there is nothing next to it to compare it to. Also looks like distributor advance spring.

I have a similar spring to that for a 67 dart 4 speed. but my bag is labeled for the parking brake.

Sorry ..... Spring is about 1" diameter and about 2.5" overall length.

I was thinking possibly parking brake but I only removed the master cylinder at the time I put it in the bag. Doesn't mean it wasn't on the parking brake tho. Whoever originally put this car together did some odd things! lol
