70 Dart heater/radio delete

was heater and radio delete available on a 1970 Dart?

Heater delete - yes. In warm climates like Hawaii.

Heaters were standard though, radios were options. So, you would not add an option then delete it, you would just not order a radio.

so a radio heater delete panel would be correct on a dart? what did they do with the hole from the heater box.... im building a FAST class car and was curious

Standard dash had a block off plate for the radio delete. Never have seen a rally dash with a radio delete.

Think the factory had vent boxes with out the heater part and just put block off plates over the fire wall holes.


Thats what I did to my Dart. Cut the vent box from the heater then boxed it in and put block off plates over the fire wall holes.

okay, does anybody have pics of both the block offs for both the dash and the firewall, original, not done themselves?

I have done some looking on this my self over the years but have not been able to find any info or pics. Here is a radio delete plate for non rally dash. Thats the only thing I could ever find for a 70 Dart radio or heater delete. I hope some one chimes in who has one. Good luck and let us know if you find out any thing.
